Promoting Natural Healing
he key to understanding Chiropractic is to remember that health
comes from within. Chiropractic targets the healing power within
your body to create an abundance of vitality and wellness.
Chiropractic care focuses on the nervous system and its relation to
the functions of the human body. Interference with the body’s
muscular, nervous, and skeletal systems impairs many important body
functions and reduces our ability to fight disease. Chiropractic can
eliminate these interferences, helping the body to maintain or
return to full function.
Chiropractors are concerned with a patient’s overall well-being and
recognize that many factors affect health, including: stress,
exercise, diet, rest, environment, and heredity. It emphasizes the
inherent recuperative power of the body to heal itself without the
use of drugs or surgery, whenever possible. Chiropractic is the
largest, drugless, natural healing profession in the world.
Our Holistic Approach
ew
England Holistic Health Center’s primary mission is to provide
integrated, holistic health care which focuses on the entire
individual. As caring health care providers, we work closely as a
team to offer a truly multidisciplinary approach that strives to
provide and maintain wellness by treating the whole you—mind, body,
and spirit.
Whether undergoing treatment for a sports-related injury or seeking
to maintain joint mobility, Chiropractic care helps to ease the toll
of everyday wear and tear. Chiropractic also acknowledges and
supports the important role of posture in maintaining
Neuromusculoskeletal health. The Chiropractors at New England
Holistic Heath Center utilize a wide variety of techniques to ensure
directed treatment and individualized care.
At New England Holistic Health Center we believe that patient
education is critical to continuing wellness. We understand that
providing treatment which includes patient empowerment through
education is essential to help ensure a healthier lifestyle for each
individual. We recognize that no one doctor can specialize in all
aspects of patient care. Therefore, in order to serve the needs of
all our patients, we have assembled the best and most qualified
doctors of Chiropractic and staff in the area to cater to the needs
of our patients and to provide individuals with the tools and
knowledge to improve and maintain optimal health.
Using Sacro-occipital technique, a gentle painless approach to
correcting the spine, we work hard to prevent and eliminate pain. We
also work with you to improve your nutrition and lifestyle,
resulting in a stronger and healthier immune system.
Children, too, benefit from Chiropractic. We are interested in
the early detection and treatment of scoliosis and other
musculoskeletal problems. And as our children continue to excel in
athletic activities such as soccer, basketball and track,
chiropractic care gives them a competitive edge and helps them heal
more quickly from sports-related injuries.
Many of our patients tell us that they experience a general sense
of well-being, increased energy, and improved health during cold and
flu season. Chiropractors study all the traditional healing
sciences, but we also envision the person as a whole, mind and body
as one. We alleviate pain and empower patients to further heal
themselves.

n a recent study on long-term pain and disability outcomes for
patients with chronic low back pain, Chiropractic care compared
favorably to medical care with respect to long-term pain and
disability outcomes. Although further study is required to identify
patient and treatment characteristics associated outcomes,
chiropractic physicians are proving to be the physician of choice
for musculoskeletal symptoms, hence, better serving the needs of
such patients. —Journal of Manipulative and
Physiological Therapeutics 2001;24:433-9
ecently reported in the Journal of Manipulative and
Physiological Therapeutics was a study on the recovery patterns in
chiropractic patients. Individuals being treated for long-lasting or
recurrent low back pain; in particular, the minimum number of
required treatments and the minimum number of days from the
beginning of treatment to the occurrence of improvement, indicated
very positive outcomes. A large group of chiropractic patients with
relatively long-lasting or recurrent low back pain reported
“improvement” early in the course of treatment.
